For those of you who have know me long enough, you will remember Westsidedirt.net. It was, in true Web 1.0 fashion, a personal website manually updated via HTML code. I shared photos and longish posts about life. I think people actually enjoyed it. Well, as Facebook became the de facto forum for online sharing I decided to let Westsidedirt.net go. (It was not entirely unlike Tom Hanks and Wilson--my inner nerd really got all wound up.)
Recently though, I have become annoyed with Facebook. Novel, I know. It seems more and more spastic with its noisy margins. I need more than the sound bites that leave you mentally starving a few minutes after log off. I do enjoy the Like button and the ability to comment on photos and posts, but I also enjoy exploring a thought farther than the 250 character limit will allow.
So, here it is, yet another URL. It is totally pointless, but nonetheless a forum in which I can have a little more elbow room so to speak. And of course I will share any new posts on Facebook.
